WELCOME
Hello and welcome! I’m an experienced therapist offering online counselling and psychotherapy to adults and teenagers across the UK. I excel at helping individuals overcome stress, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma and grief.
My interest is in people rather than diagnoses, but I specialise in helping those who experience dissociation and/or psychosis and who may have a mental health diagnosis such as schizophrenia, a personality disorder, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and/or a dissociative disorder (including DID).
I’m fully qualified, having both a Foundation Degree and a BA (Hons) in Integrative Counselling and I’m a member of the BACP, the largest professional body for counselling and psychotherapy in the UK. I’ve attended additional training for personality disorders, understanding addiction, dissociation and DID, and Mental Health First Aid, and have done specialist voluntary work for Mind. I’m also an Oxygen Advantage Functional Breathing Instructor.
APPROACH
I’m professional and ethical, warm and smiley, authentic and honest, gentle and compassionate and I’ll always keep you safe by ensuring that we progress at a pace that you feel comfortable with. There are hundreds of different types of therapy available, but research indicates that the type of approach is not important.
The most significant factors to affect positive outcomes are: that you feel a good connection with me, and that you feel ready to fully commit to engaging with your therapy. I practice integrative counselling because it gives me the flexibility to provide you with the most effective methods and techniques for your needs: I tailor my approach to suit you, giving you the best opportunity to achieve the results you want.
